Cask at the Minster Tavern, Ely. Dark gold, hazy, flat. Wonderful aroma: juicy grapefruity hop buoyed up by a resinous hint. The taste starts a bit sour, but turns bittersweet toward the finish. Flat body am bit of a letdown. All in all this is a pretty exciting find from Marston’s.

Bottle from Tesco Enniskillen [180115]
Light amber, clear, frothy white head
Aroma - Strong aroma of soft lemon, soft grapefruit, sweet zest, light pale, hint of orange, soft floral, really good nose
Taste as aroma, soft lemon zest, light sweet pale malts let the zesty hops through, soft sweet grapefruit, touch floral, no Marston minerals or yukky yeast, no harshness with the hops, nice sharp fruity zest
Palate - soft carb, light body, soft sweet. Finish as main flavour, soft sweet zest, floral hop, bitter zest
Overall - Very quaffable. Easy going. Nice sharp zesty hop. Really surprised by this - expected this to be another boring supermarket beer. I’m sure it’s the best beer I’ve had from Marstons. Will get more bottles of this.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Citrus-fruity and slightly grassy hoppy aroma with lighter exotic accents. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Delicately biscuity and subtle grainy malty base with fresh citric hops, also hints of grapefruits and pineapples; moderately bitter hoppy and mildly malty finish. Pleasant. 26.X.14

On cask at the Grosvenor. Appearance - golden with an oily hop resin look and a decent head. Nose - pink grapefruit going into fresh sweat. Taste - yep more of the same. Very hop resin too. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - not shy on the hops. Just short of being too bitter.

Quite an intense hop aroma, quite fruity. Tastes fresh and clean. Initially some tropical fruit comes through then a lasting dry bitter finish.
