Can poured into a snifter. Deep brown with a fizzy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, pecan pie filling, pecans, graham crackers. Initial taste is much the same with a dose of bourbon. Fades to pie filling, chocolate, bourbon. Body is full with pleasant carbonation. Delicious and dangerous.

Bottle thanks to Niels, drunk at home (20/12/2021) - pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Sweet dark malty with lots of rich chocolate, sweet caramel, getting the roasted pecans on the nose, full bodied, coffee roast, vanilla and bourbon coming together into the sweet malty finish. Gorgeous.

16oz can courtesy of Toby. (as Pecan Pie Barleywine at 12.1%). Dark brown opaque pour, a few bubbles. Nutty, pecan aroma coupled with the whiskey barrel. Taste adds some brown sugar/molasses notes to the pecans, vanilla, for the full on pecan pie effect. Sweet.

Pours black, just small edges of a brown head. Massive fudgy smell, pecans certainly there. Not much thickness, pretty alcoholic. Taste is rich, fudge, some pecan and a lot of bourbon. Not too sweet, if only it weren't so alcoholic, and had more body.
