Pours dark, amberbrown, small white head. Smell is grainy, full, dark fruits, bit 'aged' factor ( no cardboard though ) , earthy. Taste is full, dried ( dark ) fruits, alcohol, but not really boozy. heavy maltyness, at some point it comes close to a malty DIPA, but not as bitter (yet a bit bitterness is provided ) very much in balance, a lovely sipper.

Flaska från SB. Kastanjebrun med krämigt beigevitt skum. Spannmål, torkad frukt, mörkt socker och lite humle med UK-karaktär. Rejäl och ganska klibbig kropp som ändå inte riktigt når ända fram ellerså behövs lagring för att lyfta mer. Smak som doften med en ganska bra beska. Gott

Bottle, many thanks Nische! Clear almost ruby color with beige head. Aroma is caramel, pine, fudge, orange nectar, dried red fruits, brown sugar. Taste is lovely sweet dried red fruits, orange nectar again, fudge, sirupy, but not cloying. Bready towards the back, with a fruity finish that is a bit warming, but not really boozy. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Fantastic, no compromises on flavour, and "only" 8.8% (for a Barleywine, that is).

500ml Bottle - Brown with red tinges. Pine, caramel and raisins. Fruity, fairly bitter and noticeably hoppy taste with pine, grapefruit, berries, sultanas and berries. A tasty hoppy barley wine.
