This is a Lagunitas-ified version of a traditional Farmhouse ale, aged in red wine oak barrels and funkied up with Brettanomyces yeast. It’s a golden saison-sour with a nice tartness that leaves your buds quenched and wanting more. Proost!

Bottle pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! Appearance is clear dark yellow/light brown with no sparkle, finger-width off-white head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong mix of oaky funk, tart fruit, red grape and farmhouse funk. Taste is strong and follows aroma. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, nice complexity and balance. Sourness is usually my wolvesbane but this strikes a nice balance and is definitely well crafted. Well done!

12 oz. bottle shared by tfontana. Thanks Tom. Aroma is without a doubt red grape, oak, Brett. Wow! I would not expect Heineken to allow them to make something like this! Flavor has some developed characters from oak barrel and wine. Brett is here mildly with funk. Much better than I thought it would be.

12 ounce bottle from Festival Northland, 12/20/20. Hazy orange, thin head. Aroma of brett, funk, stone fruits, caramel. Taste is spice, brett, stone fruits, sugar, pale malt. Wine notes are in there with a hint of vanilla probably from the barrels. Medium bodied, lingering tartness. Needs some tweaking but its decent.

Pours bright reddish gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet funky red wine aromas. Crisp with sweet brett and marshmallow upfront turning to tart, dry grape skin and seeds in the medium length finish.

Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has tart light fruits and lemon with a bit of wine barrel underlying. Flavor has dry light tart fruits and light funk with some dry wine barrel backing.

Bottle from the Packie Brilliantly clear deep golden color with a tint of red to it. Small bubbly white head dissipates quickly. Earthy and oaky nose with moderate vinous and fruity notes and some earthy spicy yeast character. Big vinous fruity flavor with a hint of balsamic but rolls into some older woody notes. Light earth and spice. Light lactic tartness but almost no brett funkiness. Decent beer, but feels like they played it safe with the blend to appeal more to the masses.
