A pale blonde lager with a thin white head. In aroma, a rather banal adjunct malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, plain and boring. In mouth, a rather weak malt with faint grassy hops, light mineral notes, watery and bad. Can from 10/11 store in downtown Reykjavik.

50cl can (ABV. 4%) from Vínbúðin, Borganes. Pours clear golden with a small, but lasting white head. Mild grainy aroma with lightly fruity hints, traces of cookled vegetables and grass. Fairly standard pale lager - watery and not much flavour, just slightly grainy. Finishes lightly bitter. Hardly impressive, but drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilsner on 24 Sep 2014 at 22:43 - Score: 4

Canned (thanks SADESA!, backlog). Yellowish golden colour, small white head which leaves some slight lace. Aroma is bready malts, mild salty and cardboardy notes along with some slight grassyness. Flavour is slight cooked vegetables, some grass, mild cardboard and some bready notes as well. Mild rubbery notes as well as it gets warmer.
