Flaske 500ml. Batch 8. Gave fra Rune. Delt med Egil på Øverhøgda 13 Sep 16. Gusjegulbrun. Lavt tett skum. Litt lite aroma. Spor av krydder. Smaken tørket frukt. Litt tørr etter hvert. Heftige klumpsedimenter i siste kvelling.

500ml bottle, #008, bought at Vinmonopolet Stokmarknes. Pours a hazy, dark orange coloured body. Beige head leaving spotty lacing behind. Mid-sweet aroma of dried fruits and brown malts. Fine blended taste of sappy, mid-sweet citrus, apricot and caramel malts. A backdrop of yeasty fruitiness towards the ending. Soft on the swallow. Fine bodied. Hidden alcohol. Nice sipper even in summertime (Stokmarknes 29.07.2016).

Bottle. It’s an unclear orange-golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is dominated by orange marmalad, with some alcohol and pine cones, and also a touch of roasted malts. It’s full-bodied and quite warming on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Some roasted malt notes and sweetness in the flavor, with oranges, pine cones and alcohol. And bitterness of course. Warming, orangey finsih. Lacking big time on balance this one, and the aromas and flavors seems to go in all directions. 160102

500 ml bottle. Slightly unclear reddish orange body with a small tan head. Strong fruity aroma with caramel malt. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, citric fruit and bitterness. Quite balanced in body and decent aftertaste, otherwise it feels a bit straight forward malt & hops without the best balance. It doesent even give me any imperial feeling.

500 ml bottle, batch #008, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.0%. Cloudy brown colour. low off-white head. Aroma of medium roast malts and piney hops, also hints of fresh brown bread. Very sweet, very resinous and bitter flavour, unbalanced and unharmonious.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with a rather modest off-white head. Hoppy aroma with pine, fruity notes and solid dose of caramel. Sweet and malty with piney and some citrusy flavours and an almost harsh bitterness. Not very Christmassy, but quite drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of El Jucan DIPA on 13 Nov 2015 at 17:40 - Score: 6
