Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, erdiger, leicht medizinischer Geruch. Geschmacklich ebenso malzig, erdig, medizinisch kräuterig (vermutlich der mir bisher unbekannte Galgant). Leicht süß mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, leichter bis mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

33cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of herbal pale malt, vegetables, plants. Taste of medicine, herbal malt, wheat, herbs, bitter finish.

Gekauft im Wirtshaus beim Kloster Heiligenkreuz bei Wien. Ein Bier, das mit Galgantwurzel gebraut wurde und durch diese lt Etikett ein spritziges, unfiltriertes Leichtbier mit einem mild-pfeffrigen Geschmack wird. Das pfeffrige kann ich bestätigen; es geht schon fast in RIchtung Chillibier. Dazu kommt ein erdig-torfiger Geschmack, der intensiv nach Wurzeln schmeckt (sofern es diesen Geschmack gibt) und fast schon mag ich etwas GIn merken. MIr persönlich ist es zu abstrus, aber für Freunde von holzigen Ginbieren für die Fastenzeit oder einfach jemanden, der mal was komplett anderes mag, ist es durchaus interessant

Bottle, many thanks Geiserich! Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is herbal, very interesting, hay, sage (is this how galgant roots smells like?). Taste is citric, hay, a bit peppery, again something special that is probably galgant roots. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. I like it, it's quite harmonious.

330 ml bottle from Klosterladen Schottenstift, Vienna.
Pale yellow, hazy body, with small particles floating around and a big, frothy, lacing, white head.
Aroma with a lot of spices, citrus, bread, some candy.
Taste is quite light, but refreshing, with spices, citrus, candy, some bready malts.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes spicy, quite dry, citric, a bit malty.
Nice one. Really good for this low ABV, very resfreshing, with the spice notes well integrated. Should be a perfect summer beer.
