I didn’t have a chance to get to this yesterday…
Firestone Walker Bretta Tangerine 6.2%
Considering it’s got Bretta in the name I was expecting something super carbed and eager to gush but it turned out to be a pain to open. It finally popped open and splashed everywhere then slowly gushed out.
In the glass, the beer was a lovely orange gold with a brief flash of fizzy foam. The aroma was Brett and citrus with a rich funk. Medium bodied and semi-dry with a delicious tartness.
The start is tart, then a good depth of earthy tangerine after which you get a nice acidic finish.
Tasty stuff.

The Aromas are tart Brett with some orange in the background. The flavors are very much like nose with the sour being dry and totally dominating the orange. Good carbonation enhances the sour. Too tart for me. A little bit of sediment in there that you can occasionally get on the tongue doesn't help. My least favorite beer in this series.

A bottle from Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Shared with Ogi and Marko with 9rand ta2sting 2021. Thanks Ogi. Unclear orange with a golden glow, small off-white head, sediment. Apricot aroma, funky, tangerine, wood and esters. Tangerine cordial, tangerine oil, juice, sour apple, nice sharp sourness. Gentle, juicy, soft, light to moderate finish.

Bottle shared with Ogi (thx!) and Rabran. Got the yeast shot, but seems to be a clear orange-golden body with an off white head in general. Funky tangerine peel aroma, very light vanilla, got that barrel vibe, but apart from the vanilla very few other outright notes. Nice, balanced tart taste, tangerine's there definitely, only with an extra Lacto edge. Fresh. refreshing, well made, clean, classy.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of brett, citrus fruits, wood, and malt. The flavor is very sour with notes of lemons, brett, wood, and malt, leading to a tart finish.

On tap at PreFunk Nampa. Hazy dull deep orange medium white head quickly dissipating. Pretty bold Bret aroma less so in the flavors. Great dry tangerine notes. Quite tart and clean. Very tasty

12.7 ounce bottle. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A big fresh tangerine nose. Big brett, funky, citrus, some sharp lactic notes. This is pretty good. Would work well as an introduction to sours. Oily oranges.
