Keg @ The Burrell Arms, Haywards Heath. Clear orange golden color, medium sized dense white head. Beer was served ice cold so no aroma. Taste is boring: malts, some bitter, a bit metallic and dusty. Very average lager.

Keg at Hole in the Wall, Darlington. Clear copper-ruby amber colour, creamy beige head and aroma of malt & toffee. Taste is sweetish malt caramel, toffee & abit floral fruity with an earthy light bitterness through to a dry bitter finish. Watery but smooth mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. OK bitter.

On tap at Crown and Glove, Stannington - Great appearance, deep amber with a creamy head. Nutty flavour and much more flavoursome than that other stuff John Smiths churn out. A bit sweet at the start, bitter at the end. One from the archives really, and I thought they’d stopped doing this, an old one from the Sheffield WMCs that used to be a staple. Not as good as 1980, but like Wards, not a bad try.
