0,5l from bottle at Sanders, shared by me. Bottled 03/06/2020. Black color, small coffee colored head. Smells peanut butter, vanilla, nutty, cinnamon, spices, very nice smell, very peanut butter forward. Full body, light carbonation. Tastes peanut butter, earthy, peppery, vanilla, jammy, stone fruits, peaches, spices, some oak, whisky. Finishes dry with jammy notes, stone fruits and spices. Bit weird one, almost a tad on the sour side. Quite drinkable, but expected a bit more 8,4,7,3,15

500 ml bottle, bottled 03/06/20, shared by Werckmeister, thanks! Black body, with a small, creamy, dark beige head. Aroma with lots of peanut butter, chocolate, caramel, moderate whiskey barrel. Tastes of whiskey barrel, tobacco, chocolate, moderate peanut butter, dark fruits. Medium, quite creamy moutfheel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes moderate roasty, medium sweet, spicy, with moderate whiskey barrel, chocolate, dark fruits. Very nice. Lovely nose, with lots of peanut butter, while the taste has more whiskey and fruit notes. Not oustanding, but a comfortable, not too heavy sipper. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15

Bottle with KBL. Peanut butter, chocolate, grape juice nose. Flavor much like a JB & J sandwich with chocolate. Rich flavors, sweet but not crazily so, body a bit thin.

Belching Beaver Viva La Beaver BA Mexican Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Milk Stout 12.5% Nice ruby black color flash in the pan purplish tan foam that vanished fast. First whiff gave BA bourbon then nutty sweet peanut with milk Chocolate. Medium to full bodied with lots of balanced sweet peanut butter chocolate. At first colder there was no hint of the high ABV but on warming the boozy bite reared itβs head. All in all by far the best Iβve had from Belching Beaver. I didnβt get rye or anything Mexican from it though.

From a 650ml(?) bottle on 15/8/2020 (shared with Butz). Pours a deep brown with a medium head. Having soon after a standard Viva La Beaver so the comparison is fresh. The nose is powerful - heaps of chocolate, peanut butter and cinnamon, with a fair bit of whisky and oak in the background. The flavour is a rinse and repeat of the nose. Intense sweet milk chocolate and peanut butter, lots of cinnamon and dash of whisky. The mouthfeel is slick and a touch syrupy and the carbonation moderate. Very easy drinking for 12.5%, and has a lot of the standard Viva, just a bit less peanuts and a bit more cinnamon, with the addition of the barrel aged character. A truly excellent dessert beer but I'd take the standard version over it.

Bottle from Craft Shack. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy/foamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, peanut butter, lactose and smooth toasted malt. Approaching full bodied. Flavor of peanuts, chocolate, lactose, rye spice, maybe wood(but with the sugars it's hard to find astringency), and a touch of cinnamon. Almost like a pastry stout. Not dry, but not sticky. Not hop bitter, but heat and rye spice stand in for that. Heat is not oppressive. It's good stuff.
