"A full barley vairation of our Rye IV. Our take on the heaviest of all Belgian classic, the quadrupel. We have used different layers of caramel malts and high quality belgian candi syrup to create a complex bouquet of dried fruits including plums, dates, dried raisins as well as notes of fresh cherries."

11/IX/21 - 75cl bottle @ BBGG Summer Edition (Klaas & Liesbeth's place), BB: 22/VII/26, Lot: 1 (2021-1050) Thanks to ElManana for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, sweet, caramel, bit oxidized, chemical, some swimming pool. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter, very roasted, alcohol, coffee, caramel, bitter, more roast. Aftertaste: malty, caramel, dried fruits, lots of chocolate, cocoa powder, pretty bitter, roasted, good stuff.

750 ml waxed bottle, bottled 22.07.2020. Dark red-brown body, big, creamy, lacing, beige head. Aroma dried fruits, caramel, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark chocolate. Tastes similar, a bit more roasty. Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes medium sweet, medium roasty, a bit fruity, with cocoa, coffee, some dark chocolate. Very nice, although I was expecting even a bit more. A quite typical Quad, maybe a bit more roasty than usual. Balanced and comfortable to drink, but not that outstanding. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15

0,75l bottle at home shared by Saeglopur, big thanks. Bottled 22/07/2020. dark brown color, small tan head. smells spices, leathery, some dried fruits, berry notes, leathery, marzipan. nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes leathery, marzipan, spices, herbal, bit rubbery, peppery. finishes lightly sweet with of peppery, dried fruits and some leathery notes. interesting, smooth but dont like the peppery and rubbery notes. 7, 4, 7, 3, 16
