Bottle shared at CB. Thanks Chris! Pours a deep, burgundy reddish purple with a small bit of purplish foam that dissipates quickly. Big, jammy Zin forward nose with oak, and cab skin aromas. Jammy palate with dark cherry, raspberry and muscat. Tannic skin & seed throughout. Very wine-like in nose, flavor and mouthfeel. Great tannic character as well. If you like wine, this is the closest beer tribute I've had to date. Fantastic stuff from American Solera.

MBCC Sunday session, 'No riff raff'. Keg. Looks like a rich red wine with its deep purple colour, small purple head. Smooth dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Rich winey berries and grapes. Dry grape skin and tannins. Dry finish. Very red wine, as winey a beer as I can recall. Memorable and tasty.

Keg at MBCC Bronus Gold session, 13/05/18. Claret red with a purple tinged topped with a faded crimson cap. Nose is red wine stained oak, hay bale, red berry must, straw. Taste comprises red grape must, damp hay, light funk, dried berry skins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with mellow acidity. Passable offering ... rather 1D.
