This rare blend was created using heavily fruited, barrel-aged wild ale with local Blueberries. We took a portion of the straight Blueberry wild ale, extended the aging in Biltmore House red wine barrels and added Hibiscus and a hint of Vanilla. Brewed for Appalachian Wild Ale Society members.

Bottle 750ml @ MBCC 2018, Blue Session
Pours hazy red with a pink head. Aroma has notes of malt, raspberry, tartness and funk. Taste is medium sweet and medium sour with a long slightly dry, tart, raspberry, citrus and funky finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle 750ml. @ MBCC'18 [ Blue Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark. [ As Fonta Flora AWAS Blend #2 (2017) ].Unclear medium red colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white - pink head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, tart, berry, blueberry, light herbal - floral (ala hibiscus), light soured milk. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate with a long duration, tart, berries, red fruit - berries, blueberry, lemony - grape - wine, light sweet vanilla - hibiscus, medicine notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180511] 7-3-7-3-14

Bottle at mikkeller 2018 blue... Pink... Thin pink lacing.. soft dry herbal honey berries fruit nose.. Tart fruits.. Light dry fruits

MBCC. Slightly hazy deep red with small head. Aroma is malt, fruit, berries, lemon and a little acetone. Flavour is malt, berries, fruit, medium sweet, citric, lemon, sour, acetone and medium dry.

Aroma: Blueberries, fruit, tart, sour.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Berries, fruit, sour, some cherries, a bit vinous.

On tap at MBCC 2018. Pours dark red with slightly pinkish head. Fruity, cherries, cherries, some barrel. Funk. Medium acidity. Medium bodied. Nice.

MBCC. Hazy deep red with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, red fruit and tart. Flavor is quite sweet and rather acidic. Dry and rather acidic finish. 110518

Bottle, sample. Tasted on the 11/05/2018 at «Mikkeller Beer Celebration 2018», Copenhagen. Dark ruby with a low and frothy pink head. Aroma is red berries, wood barrels, grapes and yeast. Taste is red berries, grapes and wine barrels. Slightly sour and medium fruity finish. Well balanced. Yeah, good stuff. Next one please!!

Draught @ MBCC 2018. Pours slightly hazy red with an offwhite head. Aroma of light sourness, malt, wood, oak, tart fruit, red berries, raspberry. Flavor is sour, malt, wet wood, oak, little vinegar, red berries. Medium body, average carbonation, light acidic finish. 110518

Dark ruby, hazy body, with a moderate, frothy, light pink head.
Aroma of barrel, red wine, grapes, red berries.
Tastes similar, with more vinegar.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium sour, vinous, very fruity, vinegary.

Tasty. Elegant, vinous and very fruity. Greatly integrated wine barrel. Lovely, balanced stuff.
