Raspbarrel is a sour ale aged on whole raspberries. It's produced by filling two of our barrel fermenters with 200lbs of raspberries each. We then fill the barrel with sour golden ale. Once fermentation kicks in, a series of punch downs is done to get as much raspberry flavor into the beer as possible.

Draught at MBCC 2018, blue session.
Deep ruby body, with a medium, fluffy, pink head.
Lovely aroma mainly with loads of fresh, sweet-sour raspberries.
Tastes more sour, with lots of raspberries, some vinegar.
Medium, slick, with a lively mouthfeel, with a carbonation.
Finishes sour, dry, a bit vinegary, with lots of lingering raspberries.

Really tasty. All about the distinct raspberries, which are beautifully showcased, especially in the nose. Drinks very fresh and balanced. Lovely, berry-forward sour ale.

0,05l from tap at Mbcc Blue Session. bourdeaux like / brown color, small pink head. smells strong of raspberries, nutty, marzipan, some more berry notes. lovely smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of raspberries, lactic, grassy, earthy, bit peppery. finishes very dry and medium sour with notes of raspberries, grassy and citric notes. very nice one but taste is very very dry, a bit too much for me. 9, 4, 8, 4, 16
