Sampled from bottle. Flowery hop notes on salt licorice roast. Rural wood and peat smoke. Heavy Salty tar retronasal, light sticky licorice in the aftertaste. Balance is a bit off.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear brown with an orange hue and a creamy and lacing off-white head - very pretty. Very unusual, spicy nose that has both distinct oak and some peated iodine notes. Rich, sweet, dark roast. A little licorice and the subtle iodine note very present but never overpowering. The oak chips seem more Bourbon-like than anything else, which certainly adds to the beer in a positive way. A pleasant surprise. 260619
