Brown 33cl bottle, best before 9th Jan 09, drank a month later, Feb 09. Poured into a 10 inch Harboe badged vase shaped glass (twice because the glass only holds 30cl). Dull old gold in colour, with no head after the initial small white covering. Malted barley is the first aroma to hit the nose, but that slowly dissapates to nothing and a wheaty, alcohol smell takes over. Very little taste, just some alcohol and wetness. Medium carbonisation, but very bland and undistinctive. I brought back quiet a few beers from Copenhagen after the 1st European Beer Fest last year (2008), none have lived up to my expectations.

Bottle at home. Golden orange colour with a small white head. Aromas of citrus and som belgian yeast. Flavours reveals fruity esters, nothing more actually. Medium+ bitterness. Watery and som slick mouthfeel. Overall a fruity beer but not well balanced, and boring

33cl bottle, 0.95€, 8.3%. Added CO2, contains antioxidants. Dark gold beer, clear, sparkling, with a small white head quickly reducing with no lacing and quickly disappearing. On the nose almost nothing, some grains maybe. Aroma mostly of grains: wet grains, sweet malts, cardboard, alcohol. Sticky sweetness with a weird bitter finish, thick mouthfeel. Seems like a Tuborg with more alcohol, and reminds me of Tennent’s Super and Ceres Royal Strong. Sorry bear, not for me.

Can. (tested in a blind test) "a beer which should be enjoyed with respect.", well I´dont know about that. This one was really boring and not good at all. Alcohol, butter and malt. No thanks!

Overall better than the regular bear beer, the stronger taste of alcohol hides the lack of any other kind of test, i guess. Bought in a black tall can in Taipei in a 7-11

Canned in Sweden, sample "stolen" from a friend. Big white head that went away immediately and fizzily. Golden body. Sweet gluey grainy nose with some hints of alcohol. Sweet malty taste, grainy, not terrible but ending with a slightly alcoholic note. Not too bad actually, expected far, faaar worse.

Pours very yellow, plenty of head with average density. Aroma has vague hints of hop and grain on the nose. Flavour is a tangy mix of corn, light grains, and alcohol. Average palate. Not bad as far as "strong lager"s go.
