Can shared at Zozo's. Pour juicy yellow with a white head. Nose is light tropical fruity hops, citrus zest and mainly calamansi. Taste is low to medium bitterness, citrus zest, grassy notes, calamansi again. Closes with a bitter, citric finish, has a light to medium bod, drinks below the ABV. Too much calamansi for me.
Citroen en bitter.

New England style fruit IPA flavoured with calamondin, an unlikely Philippine hybrid of mandarin and kumquat - and something I never encountered as actual fruit, alas. Thanks to Meeki for sharing. Medium thick, egg-white, shred-lacing, opening head on a milky yolk-yellow beer with slight apricot tinge. Aroma extremely citric, with the calamondin being very bright and 'real', indeed reminiscent of both mandarin and kumquat but also pomelo, lime and even blood orange, flanked by impressions of pineapple juice, granadilla, lemongrass, Thai basil, wet dough, halfripe nectarine, mango cubes, sugared fruit yoghurt, dried lemonbalm. Fresh, utterly fruity onset, in an immensely citrusy way, again mandarin and kumquat - and both 'squared', yet not completely overpowering nectarine, mango and pineapple side effects from the hops; medium carb, full and creamy mouthfeel, bit fluffy. Doughy malt 'soil' totally penetrated by the calamondin effect, which matches - almos seamlessly - with a wave of citric and tropical hops, bringing back mango, granadilla and pineapple effects amidst this radiant citrus overdose - the calamondin adding a bit of underlying, crisp sourness that contrasts beautifully with the sweet effects. Bit powdery in the very end but no hop burn nor outspoken bitterness, remaining entirely within the frames of the NEIPA paradigm. One of the most citrusy beers I ever had - more citrusy than orange juice, almost, as if every kind of citrus fruit in existence was thrown in here, and still this beer manages to respect the overall profile of a typical contemporary juicy NEIPA. If 'tropical citrus beer' was ever a thing, then this is the one - this is absolutely brilliant in almost overstating the calamondin at one side and keeping it in pace with the hops at the other. This still young and fresh Polish craft brewing elan keeps yielding baffling results.

Troche taki pastry sour w dobrym wydaniu i z jednym owockiem. Nieco zestowym. Gdyby moze nie to, ze jednak chmielenie tez czuc, acz jednak calamansi bardziej. Chlalne, i tensywne, smaczne puwi owocowe
