Dry hopped with Bramling Cross
New Cuvée des Champions to celebrate the promotion of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to the Belgian First Division A, dry hopped with Bramling Cross in tribute to the club's English investors.
"For a classic Cuvée Saint-Gilloise, we blend German hops, but this time we opted for English," explains Jean Van Roy. "It is to pay tribute to our English investors and our Chairman Alex Muzio."
"The label of this Cuvée is also unique and collector's item. We find there in particular an old logo of a fan club, as well as lizards, referring to the old nickname of our investor, Tony Bloom.”

Multiple times. Slaying whales in Ulfborg and in Belgium. And as cuvee 89 from Beer Circus. Lemon, funk, barnyard, brett and cellar. Dry and dope.

Bottle. Thanks to Seth for sharing this one. Yellow pour with a white head. Funk and lemon zest bouquet. Loads of funk, muted lemon zest, and barrel highlights. Wet hay and straw backbeats. Good body and mouthfeel.

Draught Head gone in second; veiled orange beer. Spicy-lactic-oranges, farmyard. Oranges returning in the flavour, lactic acid, citrus, farmyard; hints at fruitsugars, if faraway thumbprint. Feels somewhat better bodied, low carbonation - almost still. Strange, after the Parasol, yet another Cantillon tasting of oranges and lots of citrus flavours, as if the beers had been... 'contaminated'?
