Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall off-white and barely tan head that fades quickly and doesn't leave much up top. Aroma of light nuts, earth, a dash of rustic grainy qualities and a good dose of caramelised sugars - but this is all quite light in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Fairly thin malt notes show through with some raisins and fig sweetness and a dry, mushroomy and rustic quality that does bring out some nuttiness and a dash of cardboardie malts towards the end. Aftertaste shows some subdued cream and lactose notes, but the grain is a bit more noticeable along with some nuts and a bit of caramelised sugars, but there are no hops here and no real complexities that you might find in other browns. Overall, a pretty standard beer for the style, if not a little less than that. This has a moderate malt profile with some slight sugars here throughout, but there isn't enough depth or pungency here to make it worthwhile to drink, even if it is easy to find. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint pour on draught at Union Stage in Washington, D.C. on 28-October-2022 while watching Too Many Zooz play with my wife and THREE KIDS for US$11,70.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear dark brown, with a creamish darkish tan head that rapidly fizzed away. Aroma of chocolate, nuts and malt. Med body or so. Flavor matches the aroma, but seems light or thin Dry. Bitter from something. Probably nice for those who love the style.

16oz can pours a dark brown, ring of white head. Nose is nutty, malty, some tobacco leaf, grist. Flavor has some bitterness, wooo, what is that? Black tea, eucalyptus, weird. Also nutty and carob. Finishes bitter, astringent even.

Really solid nut brown, with macademic and roasted brazil nut type vibe. A little bark and some dark cacao. Roast. Pours dark mahogany with good head and lacing. Quite bitter finish. Tap at brewery.
