12oz canned 2/14/23, drunk 9/30/23, thanks Kyle! Lighter blonde-light amber. Small, dark beige rim of bubbles. Oaky, boozey, big notes of vanilla, honey and caramel. Blunt bourbon and wood with some pepper and light tea-like spice. Not hot, at least.... In the mouth it's just an assault of heavy wood, bourbon spice and tea-like dryness with high attenuation, lightly syrupy, rich body and tons of vanilla and toffee. But mostly bourbon and wood. Just way too much, too strong and monotonous.

Sampled from the tap at Black Rose. Pours a clear deep amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains, caramel and bourbon with a bit of toffee supporting. Flavor has bourbon and sweet grains with toffee and caramel backing.

16oz can pours out thick dark brown no head on this bad boy. Nose is heat big bourbon barrel booze spice notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts rich barrel some spice and plenty booze.

Burk från Central Waters, 2021. Brewer's Reserve, Iced Bourbon Barrel Barleywine. Högre alkoholhalt än denna entry? Rost/bronsfärgad. Tung maltgrund, oerhört kryddig, rejäl beska, kolaremmar, bränt socker, lite apelsinskal, kåda/tallbarr. Känns förvånansvärt nog inte mycket större än vanliga BBA BW:n, och nästan lite mer åtstramad. Beskan rejält hög här med, inte en klibbig sliskbomb. Gott.

16oz can at a share.Dark brown pour, opaque, no head to speak of. Aroma comes in strong and boozy, malty, leathery, tobacco and molasses. Taste is thick and malty, sweet and boozy. Dark pit fruit notes, raisins, woody. A bit heavier than the others.
