We carefully selected barrels of stout from our cellar and blended them together to capture a singular moment in time. Eternal Rest is a combination of Russian Imperial Stout aged for 19 months in Armagnac Barrels and Imperial Stout aged 25 months in Bourbon Barrels. The blend was then conditioned on top of fresh vanilla beans and toasted coconut. Cheers to new beginnings and endless horizons.

330 ml black waxed bottle, vintage 2017, from the brewery. ABV is 14%, 100 IBU. Pitch black colour, very small tan head. Strong aroma of fusel alcohols, roast malts, molasses, vanilla, bourbon and toasted coconut. Very moderate carbonation. Sweet and alcoholic flavour, with the same elements as in the aroma. Not perfectly balanced.

Bottle, shared by Tore & IC. It pours an oily dark brown body with a minimal sized beige head. Lots of roasted, burnt malts, dark sugar, licorice and some booze in the aroma. Some raisin and generic dried fruit. It’s full bodied, sweet, warming and full bodied, with a very soft carbonation. Dark sugar, licorice, burnt malts, chocolate hints and a pleasant bitterness in the flavor. Everlasting finish with alcohol warmth, booze, chocolate, some coffee and dark dried fruits. An eternal rest sure don’t seem bad. 160429
