Silky but bold imperial stout with notes of dark chocolate mixing with Thomas Hammer Coffee to create a delightful espresso flavor. A sipper for dessert or breakfast, if so inclined.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Dark brown pour, small filmy beige head. Coffee has the edge in the aroma, while chocolate comes out in the taste. Nice balance of dark chocolate and roast coffee, offering some subtle sweet notes too.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a slight creamy tan head. Aroma of extremely nice coffee with some chocolate aspects. Arguably some smooth burnt malt comes through. Full bodied; silky/slick mouthfeel. Flavor is a fabulous mix of coffee, chocolate and smooth burnt malt. Not really very dry. Burnt malt bitter. Heat hits the brain, but not the mouth/throat. Wow. Excellent.

16 oz from the brewery. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, British style stout. Black pour with a small beige head. Taste is moderately bittersweet with chocolate and coffee flavors. Alcohol is hidden extremely well; tastes like it could be in the 6% range. Nice beer.
