Pours brown from the bottle. The head fizzes and vanishes. Blink and you will miss it. Aroma is cola and molasses. Overall the taste remains sweet, driven by a strong malty base and a brown sugar sweetness, which is not surprising given that sugar is listed as an ingredient here. Palate trends oily. Overall this feels like a pale imitation of some of the much better "Dubbels" out of Belgium that I have drunk. This is not a bad beer, I finished without hesitation, but I kept thinking it might have been better suited for cooking with it.

Smooth and intense sticky brown sugary brew. Lots of sweetish sugar, brown, fresh but sticky. Not too deep in aroma, lots of brown sugar, but that’s all. Not much bitterness, not too deep in the aftertaste. Sad. Not as intense or interesting as the other Kehrwieder beers.

Süß-trockener Antrunk. Geringfügig alkoholisch, holzige Noten. Vergleichsweise spritzig, moderat herb, leicht steigendes Malzaroma. Deutliche Hefenoten. 9/9/10/10/10/10

0,33 l bottle bought at Heimathaven, Oldenburg. A darkest brown with red edges in the glass. Nearly no head. Medical herbal alcoholic with some sweetness on the nose. Taste starts with rock candy, malt, herbs, grassy. Alcoholic in the background. Rough taste, thins out in the middle part. No carbonation. Alcoholic sharpness in the aftertaste. Can not really convince.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, brown-ish, darkest ruby red colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, diminishing, sulphureous-beige head. Dark bready, pumpernickel-like, malty aroma, hints of burnt rock sugar, raisin, dried plum, fig; transforms almost into papery and cheesy after a while. Taste is slightly dry, slightly alcoholic, bready, minimally chocolately, dark bread crust, raisin, dried plum, fig, sugary undertones, flat carbo. "Pennerglück" would be a bit harsh - but comes to mind.

Pours a dark amber / dark red color. The aroma has notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, yeast, fruit, and berries
