On Tap deep dark brown pour with a thin dense tan head and lacing. Nice carmelized dark sugars and bourbon barrel aromas. Definately porter and not stout, mild dark roast, a bit more sweetness and booziness. Clean finish. Not overly sweet. Quite tasty

Taster at CopenRoss. Dark brown pour with a small off-white collar. Aroma yields sweet notes, cola, root beer. Taste comes in full and rich, chocolate. Hints of the barrel come in at the finish, as a last hurrah. Well crafted. Hides its strength well

Draft pour, sampled at Georgetown. A heap black, dense pour. An amazing aroma of chocolate, smooth bourbon, and slight dough. Very smooth for a big beer. A ton of chocolate and bourbon which blends very nicely. Warming, without being boozy. Excellent beer.

Dark brown. Mellow bourbon nose, light sweet dark malts. This has a balanced palate with some soft chocolatey malts, mellow balanced vanillins. Nothing too complex but quite pleasant.

On tap at the Beer Junction, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out an earthy barrel character, along with dry toasted malt. Flavour is super heavy, with a deep barrel character upfront, earthiness and dry toasted malt. Finishes woody and dry. Nicely done, though not quite as complex as other big barrel aged dark beers.
