650ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish malty, hoppy and citrusy fruity aroma, notes of dried fruit, raisin, orange peel, candied orange peel, a touch of cereals, whiffs of alcohol. Taste is sweet-ish malty, bitter hoppy, slightly citrusy fruity, notes of almond, marzipan, raisin, orange peel, some mandarine, marmalade; well hidden alcohol, lingering, sweet-ish malty and bitter hoppy finish. Oily to viscous texture, dry, simultaneously slightly cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Relatively weak or monotonous aroma, but rich and manifold in taste, balanced (concerning equal amounts of sweetness and bitterness) but not really harmonious - not the most perfect sipper, a bit harsh and definitely a ripsnorter; the alcohol is well hidden but all the more operative - Whew!

A red-brown beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has richness, dried fruitness, apricot and raisin, still quite fresh, caramel, some maltyness of waffle. Tast ehas caramel malts, dried fruits, toffee, apricot, nicely warming. Full bodied, not stickyness. Richness and complexicity, tasteful beer.

Sample from 2018 bottle during Blarney Wine Festival 2019 on 03/16/2019. The beer is a hazy copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of malt, fruit, caramel and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and piney hops. The finish is slightly boozy with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Shared bottle at local tasting. 2018 vintage. Orange colour, white head. The aroma has notes of old jam and alcohol. Alcoholic sweet flavour. Over the top for me.

RBHD-samling hos RB-Bryne, og kveldens siste (dvs. øl nr. 42). Nesten helt klar gylden med kort skum. Karameller, røde bær, urter og en lekker, fruktig bitterhet i en solid maltkropp. Farlig lettdrikkelig. Frog of my heart (som Fozzie Bear uttrykte det)!
