Crowler from Growler Guys-Kennewick. Dark brown body, small ring of head, nothing exciting to look at. Roasty aroma, some molasses. Taste is roasty too, soft bitterness, hints of sweetness, a nice velvety feel too. Not exceptional, but decent.

Growler filled and rated by Brenn and Bill yesterday, rated by me today. Hopefully there hasn’t been too much deterioration. Thanks, Bill! Pours midnight, but when held up to the light you can see through it; has a small beige head that reduces to a collar quickly. Aroma is doughy, fresh baked bread. Taste starts out sweet and finishes with a dry bitterness. There’s a weird fruity flavor in there I’ve never tasted in a porter before; it’s not a bad flavor, just different. Carbonation is soft, body pretty thin. Bill said this was better straight from the tap. Maybe I need to check out this new brewery for myself and re-rate it.
