In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

750ml bottle. Clear orangey goldn colour with avrag, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of berries, dried fruit, raisin, apricot, a cautious dusty yeasty touch. Taste is minimally sweet fruity, cautiously dry, hints of dried fruit, raisin, apricot, a touch of honey, cautious hints of dusty yeast; lively carbonation. Robust, quite standard Belgian Strong.

Fra flaske på Tap1 mai-13: syrlig/brett preg med kompleksitet og ekstra sødme. En meget passabel hyllest til belgiske tradisjonsøl.

Bottle - Brown sugar and yeast. Light gold thin head. Effervescent banana, honey and Belgian yeast. Heavy on the fruit, nice if you like the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

75 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 10.02.2009
Aroma is fruity with soapy citrus, orange and apricot. Also some spices and floral notes. Flavour is fruity with Belgian yeast, some soapy citrus and peppery spices. Palate is too high on CO2. A decent Duvel clone.

Sample at SBWF 2012. A bit hazy orange/golden with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of yeast, fruit, apples and malt. Also with warming alcohol. Rather long and bitter aftertaste. Not bad.
