Crazy Navel is a blend of sour rye, blond, triple and quad ales aged in oak foudres, wine and Westward Whiskey barrels for up to 18 months. We added fresh zest from Navel, Cara Cara and Valencia oranges, as well as some fresh Mandarin and dried Spanish orange peel to craft a real ode to one of our favorite citruses.

Taster shared with Brian. Appearance: a bit hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: nice barrel character with some flowery sweetness. Taste: barrel, sour, a bit abrasive. Overall: pretty good.

On tap at the Barrel House. Pours a golden orange hue with a small white head. A sour funky melon nose. Sharp at times. Big bursting fruit flavors. Funky melons, almost like a honeydew, some toast, oak. Very nice.

Draft at Bar G. Nothing too exciting about the pour, but the flavor is top notch. Citrus aroma, orange peel. Bolder citrus in the taste, mild pucker, perfect on a hot summer day.

Hazy, light amber. Fruity orange nose, tart and a bit bretty...so you get a sweet-tart candy orange taste. Decent but a little pedestrian for this brewery.
