A big grapefruit nose with roasted malt. The hops lead the parade with grapefruit and grassy elements, some caramel and roasted malt and a slight vegetal, dank undercurrent

A sbeaky hint of citrus hops turns up in the beginning before the roast bowls over it like gutterballs. A little caramel. Bitter finish. Tap at Churchkey.

On tap at McKay's Taphouse, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, some dry cocoa and subdued hops. Flavour is fairly fruity for a black IPA, with very low hops and lots of red fruits. Low roasted malt as well. Surprisingly underwhelming for Melvin.

Draft at PreFunk. What looks like a dull pour turns out to be very interesting. Not your typical CDA. Vanilla and chocolate Duke it out for a sweeter version of this normally bitter brew. Sweet with some roast grain bitterness creeping in st the finish. A head turner for sure

On tap at bier thirty pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is chocolate vanilla pine hops and roast malts. Taste is more of the nice roast malts chocolate sweetness and a hop hit.
