On Tap at the new Garden City location. Deep reddish brown with no head. Rich dark pitted fruit sourness, Flanders type sourness and toasted malty base. Raisins, over ripe fruit and a little pedio in the tartness. Rich, sour and tasty. My 300th Barbarian rating, a good milestone

16 oz crowler from Chinden taproom. wanted to grab something to go, and I hadn't had this one yet. Not a huge fan of sours, but can abide the Belgian classics and some fruity ones that are more sweet than tart. This is super sour, of the Belgian variety. Opaque mahoghany pour, fizzy head. Aroma is the yeasty funk with some fruity, berry notes. Taste grabs you by the tonsils for big tartness, behind which lurk some jelly jar notes. I think there's a barrel involved somehwere in there, woody notes. Will take me a while to get this down.

On Tap at the downtown taproom hazy deep redish brown. Thin fleeting off white head. Tart raspberries in the aroma and flavors. I don't get much Belgian yeast notes here the raspberries are the main player. Wonderful mellow malty fruit flavors and the sense of just an aged mellow sour deeply fruity ale. Very very good. Has to be my favorite barbarian beer of all time.

Bottle at RateBeer Awards. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head. The aroma is oak, leather, sour fruit, spice. Thin body, strong brett, leather, oak, nice tartness, very good.

Bottle thanks to Toby. Pours a reddish color with a medium white head. A nice big oaky sour cherry nose. Some soft fruity raspberry, oak, a fluffy soft toffee malt base. A bit of a dry finish which is a bit odd. Decent beer. I think the adjunct bill simply doesn’t fit well, the spices and brett don’t make an easy marriage and it complicated things a bit.

Bortle share Nice big Belgian Brown. Tart rasperry aroma and classic Belgian yeast notes. More of a sweetness from the berries in the flavor. Quite nice

Bottle share courtesy of Syndicate. Finally, Barbarian hits the mark with its bottle program. Barrel notes abound, berries in the back seat on top of a well rounded brown.
