From a can. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Aromas are bready. Flavors are sweet malts with more hop bite than expected for the 25 ibu indicated on the can. Decent.

Taster in a flight at the Santa Fe Railyard location. Pours a clear, pale, yellow color, with a small, white head. The nose is lemon zest, light caramel, bread dough, and clover honey. Sweet and zesty, with a light, bitter finish. Simple and quality.

On tap at brewery. Absolutely killer lager! Everything that’s right about the style, in spades. Soft and creamy, silky, grain flavor shines. The way lager should be.

Draught at Vinaigrette, 10/31/15.
Sparklingly clear golden body is topped by a medium-sized white head with good retention.
Hay/straw, fresh cereals and a moderate amount of spiciness from the hops are all balanced nicely in the nose. There’s certainly no flaw or alcohol and there’s an intangible "freshness" about it, perhaps the yeast or water (or just that the beer is very fresh).
Dry straw and very light sourdough open up the flavor, as a brace of fresh, green, floral and spicy hops add bitterness and light oiliness to the palate. Honey-like sweetness fades in and out, playing with the hop notes, while the carbonation is ample and mostly tight. Baked bread, dry hay and lingering herbal hop notes on the finish, which is is very snappy and crisp, with very little wateriness. Outstandingly refreshing, immaculately clean and drinkable.
Damn, this certainly came out of nowhere for me and was one of the better beers I had on the trip. Very excited to try more from these guys; their IPAs look outstanding and in general, all of their beers look innovative and fun.
