The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also, copper-coloured. Starts spicy and strong, a bit wheat. Malty and modest moldy finish, still very spicy. Good beer!

Test vom 9.5.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,11,12,11,11

bottle. Thank you MoritzF! Golden colour, large head. Malty with hints of rasted malts and a touch of smoke. Has its very own character - very pleasant.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Pours a clear, deep golden - a lot darker than your typical Dortmunder - with a small, white head. Very lively carbonation, this works itself out of the bottle. Fruity, malty nose. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel, clean and malty with a vague, caramelish touch and a metallic edge. The finish is dry and hoppy. Good German quality. 180507

Rerate as Herdecken Brunnengold. Nutty roast, light oxidized, herbal hops. Medium full mellow body, roast, caramel, big malty notes, fitting hop counter point, quite pleasant. Old rating: 5 4 5 2 11Bottle
Hazy amber, low creamy head. Tofee and dusty metallic bitterhop aroma. Caramelly and somewhat dusty notes - somehow reminds me of bottled british beer. Fairly lightbodied. Thanks to Dortmunder for this one.

An amber coloured brew, malty and a bit alcoholic nose, thin bodied, only a slight maltiness, metallic flavour, little hints of hops, nearly no existant aftertaste..... This beer is a big disappointment, because the name "Vorder" makes the conoisseur think, that this beer is made only from the best parts of the wort ("Vorderwürze"); so the expectations are great.....and the result is weak !
