330ml bottle [as Evinger Grubengold]. Clear, dark, amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow malty aroma, notes of caramel, floral hoppy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, minimally husky, grainy, floral hoppy overtones, a doughy yeasty touch as well. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Simple, drinkable - nice.

330ml bottle thanks to my secret santa. Pours golden Amber, thin foamy white head, aroma lightly sweet malt. Taste has an admirable dort under sweetness, grainy hints, generally quite clean, gentle bitterness, good drinkability.

Bottle from Dortmunder: thanks! Malt and caramel in the aroma. Malty, sweetish flavor with grapes, caramel, just a touch of hops and licorice. Tasty and likeable, but perhaps too soft to make a real impression.

Bottle, as "Herdecker Brunnengold Spezial". Deep amber-golden color with small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, oxidized (in the good way), nutty. Taste is nutty, chocolate, earthy, a bit metallic finish. Medium sweetness. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Tasty!

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, deep amber colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Bready malty aroma with notes of caramel, chestnuts and bread crusts. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Bready and slightly crusty malt character with caramel, hints of vanilla and nutty notes; rounded sweet-bitter malt accented finish. Likeable Amber Lager. 09.I.18

(33cl bottle, bought at the brewery) Clear, amber colour with a foamy, slightly off-white medium head. Moderately sweet malty, slightly toasted aroma with notes of honey and shades of toffee. Light-sweet, light bodied with a medium carbonation. Slim malty taste, slightly toasted with light notes of toffee, dry, very light bitter finish with a tinge of spicy hops and metal. Looks and smells good but the rest is pretty disappointing.

0.33 l bottle at ’Vormann Brauereiausschank’. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, malty aroma of caramel, honey and nuts. Quite sweet and malty taste of caramel, honey and nuts, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Good looking clear nutty color with a fine tan head. A very caramel malty driven beer. Also a bit bready. Medium body and an ok carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness.

The beer starts smooth and fresh. The mainpart gets a bit more grainy with a moderate bitterness. The aftertaste is long, grainy-bitter with a moderate malty body. Nice.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, getreidig, leicht herb. Geschmack malzig würzig, getreidig, minimale Bitterkeit.
