12 oz bottle from the supermarket. I really wanted to try this last summer, before they sold out. Last year, 10 Barrel had maybe one facing in your average grocery store. Now they have about ten. So now I see this beer everywhere and I remember how I never got a chance to try it last year, so here I go, buying a single 12 oz bottle from a brewery I said I’d never buy anything from again. Aroma is lemon candy, floral. Pours clear golden with a finger of white foam that lasts a few minutes. Taste is both tart (5/10 on a sour scale) and sugary sweet (but not cloying--at least not yet), lightly grainy. There’s a flavor here on the back end that I can’t really identify. It’s kind of savory, kind of floral, but neither of those things either, but also both of those things. What the hell is it? Anyway, tastes pretty good. What is the style, though? The bottle says it’s an American radler, the description on here says Berliner Weiss, and the category it’s placed in is Fruit Beer. So just WHAT THE FUCK IS IT???

On tap at McKay's Taphouse, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is very sugary, with artificial sweetness and some sweet lemon. Flavour is not like a Berliner weisse at all, with a cloyingly sweet body - loads of residual sugars. Not a whole a lot else. Swill indeed - one of the worst offerings from 10 Barrel.

Most german radlers are mixed after the brewing, this one tasted as if the fruit was brewed into it, and it made a great difference. Citrusy, light bodied without being overly sweet. Excellent summer refresher.

Copper coloured body with some orange glows and a ridiculously large, eight centimetre tall white head that fades fairly fast. Aroma of peaches, wheat, apricot, yeast, candy and icing sugar and a bit of light grassy spices. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong wheat and grassy flavour at first with a smooth and very sweet flavour of fruit right behind. Aftertaste shows a hint of the grass, a lot of yeast and a very strong sweetness and wheatie flavour. Overall, an interesting beer that is more fruit beer than anything else, including Berliner Weisse, so this is a good categorisation. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Pearl Specialty Market in Portland, Oregon on 27-September-2013 for US$3.99 sampled here in my hotel room in New York, New York on 31-October-2013.

12oz bottle. Quick short lived fizzy white head, slightly hazy deep golden color. Lots of fruity "sweet-tart" aroma. Sweet citrus and apple maybe. Flavor is pretty sweet but just enough tartness to carry it along. Lively carbonation, but this bottle does not seem overly carbed. Late lingering candy sweetness. Very tasty and definitely a great hot weather beer.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. It’s very live beer. Pours a 5+ finger foamy white head. There’s a bit of lemony gold underneath that. Aroma is sort of earthy sour lemon. Med body. Flavor is lemonade sourish. There’s a lot of grapefruit (not the rind) and enough sugar to be silly. Sort of a cross between a Berliner Weiss and a grapefruit radler. Fun and easy to drink it is. These brewers are having more fun than should be allowed!

Bomber. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A funky and fruity nose. Interesting. Zesty sprite flavors, grapefruit. Sweet, light grains. Pineapples. I wonder what exactly is in this. Quaffable and interesting. Has some malt liquor sort of graininess.

Bottle: Smells a lot like apple juice with a little citrus and tropical fruit. Kinda looks the part too, but not as dark. Big ole white head after an agressive pour. Lively carbonated and tongue tingling. Really fresh fruity taste is spot on; citrus, grapefruit, a little sweet/trart crispness come together. This stuff is the balls. I would drink this all the time. Having received this (and more) via Boise really makes me miss home...

22oz Bottle Pours out a little hazy straw topped with a white fizzy ring of a head. Aroma of sweetness, citrus, and some grain. Taste is more of the sweetness, lots of citrus notes, no bitterness, smoothing swillin brew for sure.
