0.33l bottle from Hoppiness, the oldest from my stock. Aroma of smoke, leather, dried fruit and chocolate. Pours pitch black color with thin quickly diminishing tan-like head and yeast residue. Taste starts with mild sweet licorice and chocolate, following is smoky, leathery and woody, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Superbly hidden ABV…

Bottle, enormous thanks Papsoe! Shared with Hrabren and Ogivldo. Very dark brown body, very little beige head. Excellent aroma, smooth, silky, spicy, lovely raisins, prunes, fresh, barrel touches, bit minty, strawberry jam. Lean, dry, fresh taste, strawberry jam, some roastiness, chocolate touches, quite leaner and drier than expected, but with perfectly hidden 10% alcohol, vague traces of oxidation, light chocolate, hazelnuts, some trace orange jelly, light perhaps tannic touches, definitely light bitterness by the end. Very classy by all means, respect! Maybe went slightly drier with age than it should, but this is excellent.

Small cream-ish rim over red-rimmed brown to black beer. Portwine, roast, wood, mocha, meatroast with ketjap. Much drier flavour, even a bit smoked/ashy, faint coffee. Toffee, but not really sweet. Very well-bodied, rich, voluptuous, creamy with medium carbonation, alcoholheat. Excellent! A balanced, nowhere exaggerated strong ale.
Txs to Stef!

Bottle. Black body with a dense, creamy beige head. Aroma has dark malt, roasted malt, licorices, toffee and dry fruit and some alcohol. Taste is dark roasted malt, licorices, toffee, dark fruit, balancing bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting, pleasant aftertaste. Tasty and nice. Solid.

O.33l bottle. Pitch black body with a light brown head that collapses fairly quickly, but leaves a rim behind that stays for a while. Interesting aroma. First it's hoppy like a black IPA, notes of grapefruit, grass and pine come through. Then it's more like a RIS with big chocolate and coffee notes. All of this is followed by some smoke and a bit of whiskey. The taste is initially sweet for sure. Caramel, chocolate, some coffee, pecans comes to my mind such as grass, pine, grape seed and only a tiny bit of wood. The carbonation is low and the texture is super creamy. Great beer.

Bottle. Pitch black, smaller beige head, not lasting. Mild malty nose, some chocolate, mildly roasted. Mildly sweet, medium bitterness, slight alcohol warmth. Dry finish. A bit sharp. Not bad, but ok.
