Clear dark amber colour, white foam disappears quickly. Sweet malty, notes of dried fruit, some roastiness, bready. Well balanced. Very nice Dunkel

Tap at the Keller. Lovely head, but in a Krug... Malty, nutty nose, chocolate, some caramel, and bready. Great nutty, grainy malt flavor, lvoely. Light fruits, whole grain bready. Full and smooth with low carbonation—could have been gravity but I did not see the pour—rich and lovely, with seeds, nuts, raisins.

Tap at roppelt biergarten. Dark colored i think deep black tea color, hard to see in the ceramic stein. Big offwhitehead,,fairly persistent. Aroma of caramel with some chocolate, roasted malts and black bread with burnt sugar and seasoned fruit overtones (plum, apricot, peach). Average carbonation, medium body, sweet taste, juicy and easy to drink. smooth finish, caramelized.

Bottle from SinH4, many thanks Stefan! Pours dark brown with a creamy, lasting off-white foam. Toffee and caramel, with raw, roasted malt, minerals and some cocoa butter. Very delicate roast. Great one!

Tap. Unclear brown-amber color with large creamy eggshell head. Aroma is earthy, chocolate, cereal, a touch buttery. Taste is buttery, chocolate, earthy, nutty, some fruity hops as well. Super-velvety mouthfeel with natural low carbonation. Tasty, but quite buttery.

Dunkler, hefig malziger Antrunk. Leicht herb-würzig, süffig, etwas cremig. Spritzig, schokoladige Nuancen ohne wirkliche Süße. Langer Nachhall, etwas röstig. Gut.10/10/10/9/10

(swing top bottle) Hazy, brown colour with a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Slightly roasted malty and yeasty aroma with notes of caramel, cacao and a mildly spicy hoppy touch in ther background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly roasted malt character with notes of milk chocolate, caramel and drying herbal hoppy spice tuning in towards the sweet-bitter finish with a chocolatey aftertaste. Good. 25.VIII.17

Tap @ Roppelts Keller, Stiebarlimbach. Pours amber copper with a frothy White head. Rye-bread, Caramel, grassy hops and slight roast. Smooth and soft with a bitter finish. As a huge fan of their kellerbier this was fun to try!

Draught (@Roppelt’s Keller): Presumably dark, colour hardly visible, because served in a stone, creamy off-white head; caramelly-roasty nose with a slight mineralic note, fresh herbal hops well detectable in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied, really soft; lingering hoppy and dry malty finish. Another franconian gem, well balanced, well drinkable. A kind of bottom-fermented black IPA...
