0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before December 2021. Clear, amber with a medium large, quite dense, stable, white head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, honey and some nuts. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of caramel, honey, some nuts and traces of sultanas, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Pleasant, classic, a little drier than the average Märzen.

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma is grainy, grassy, floral and honeyish. Pours clear dark golden color with medium sized soapy off-white head, nice lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet grainy and honey-like, following is grassy and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Clean and delicious…

(Draught at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm, 27 July 2021) Deep golden colour with creamy, white head. Malty nose with toast, apricots, orange peel, bread and marmalade. Malty taste with notes of bread, apricot marmalade, toast, vanilla and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and really well made märzen with a fresh herbal hop presence and a soft character. Very nice

Poured on mug, not 100% sure of colour and clarity but i would say light amber with slight haziness. Healty white head shows pretty good retention and lacing. Quite vivid and moreish aroma shows biscuity malts, light honey, some kind of flowery sweetness (chamomille?), a grassy whiff to bring balance. Possibly a hint of apple too. Taste follows the aroma closely with medium sweetness and low to medium bitterness, in an overall sweetish but balanced enough feel. Aroma notes are all there, though not super clean/defined. Light to medium bodied with light, fine carbonation, resulting in a rather easy mouthfeel. Overall a fine one.

50 cl bottle (5,4%) @ home, BBE 07/2020. Rated on 6.6.2020 Aroma is surprisingly mild with some grain. Flavour has grainy malt, some mint- and grass-like hops, hayish grain and cereal. Clean and easy-going Märzen!

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 07/2020, from Pikkulintu, 20200503) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was quite large and white. Aroma had grass, malts and lightly molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A good malty brew with clean grassy notes.
