Test vom 24.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,11,12,7,10 - 10,30

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized foamy off-white head. Slightly sweet dark malty, slightly roasty aroma with caramel, chocolate and a shy hoppy note. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Strong malty, slightly roasted taste with light notes of caramel, chocolate and berries; sweet-bitter finish with a delicate herbal hoppy blend. Another good Bock from Franconia.

Bottle: Chestnut coloured, medium-sized off-white lacing head; moderate sweet, dark- and toasted-malty nose; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, very soft MF; light notes of alcohol in the sweet-malty, later a bit hoppier finish. A fine, easy-drinkable franconian Bock.......

A red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with lots of caramel, while the flavor is sweet and also a quite strong presence of caramel, as well as some slightly burnt notes.
