So just who is Ingrid? Perhaps she’s a reference to the Swedish silver screen icon or maybe it’s the line seemingly spoken by every other Swedish actress in films from the 60s and 70s (we know you know the ones we’re talking about).
One thing is certain – this Swedish inspired Double IPA is not as innocent as she at first appears. A seductive body of rich malts and a buxom amount of Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Bramling Cross hops have been added to fresh Scandinavian cloudberries to deliver this beer’s raunchy tart finish.
Designed by the readers of Swedish beer blog BeerSweden, ‘Hello, My Name is Ingrid’ is a celebration of all that is great about Sweden. It does not, however, contain any pickled herrings. Or meatballs.
Malts: Cara and Extra Pale
Hops: Bramling Cross, Centennial, Citra, Columbus and Enigma.

330ml bottle from BrewDog online. Clean and clear golden colour with an off-white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma: fruity, citrus and tropical, berries, malt. Taste: juicy fruits, slightly tart berries, grapefruit, nice malty base, pine, some alcohol obviously. Bitter and hoppy, medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter aftertaste. Loved this, has to be one of my favourite beers from BrewDog so far.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark orange to reddish color, average to medium sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, hops, quite fruity but a weird kind of fruityness I haven’t tasted many times before. Guess it’s the cloudberry? Taste has it as well, malts, hops and that typical fruity flavor with a decent bitter finish. Decent body and carbonation. Decent.

Tap@Brewdog Malmö, Sweden (29/10/2016) - pours orange amber with a white head. Aroma and taste is fruity and malty, prominent berry fruity, some citrus and tropical fruity notes in support, good malty backbone with notes of caramel, toffee, bitter finish.

Brewdog Södermalm. Smell of hops. Amber colour, beige head. Aroma of hops, grass, straw. Cloudberry realöy has to be hunted for. Bitter. Basic good DIPA, but not the specialty it attempts to be.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, hint of caramel and some tropical fruit, slightly bitter. Decent enough but would have liked it a little sweeter.

On tap at Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Aroma is surprisingly subdued for an imperial, but nothing is held back with the taste. Plenty of caramel with fruity, almost tart, berries up front, a lingering sweetness and then a small bitter note left to savour.

1/3 pint at Dundee pours a clear orange with some creamy, ringing white head. Nose has a blend of citrus and a little under ripe berry, tangerine and guava, a little marmalade, honey, perfume too. Flavor actually lets down a bit, sweet with honey and tropical fruit, a little white grape, some tangerine, an odd spruce note hits the back of the throat. Finishes sticky, sweet and slightly bitter.
