330ml bottle. Pours black with a huge tan head. Aroma of coffee, roast malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits. Taste is sweet, coffee and roast malts, dark chocolate, tangy dark fruits, light bitter roasty finish. Full bodied, soft carbonation. Lovely imperial stout, I feel it could have done with even more coffee.

Keg at the Mermaid - Clapton. Pours black-brown with a foamy, khaki head. Pretty damn rich, lots of oily and bitter coffee, some charred beef, bitter cocoa, chocolate sauce, scorched earth, cherries. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, a little sticky, nips of espresso, burnt brown bread, raisins, baking cocoa. Really fun stuff.

At a tasting, opaque black color, thick creamy bubbly light brown head, aroma of roasted coffee, spiciness and a hint of leather, flavor of coffee, spice, prune, hint of ash, quite sweet but not too cloying. Very nice and enjoyable.
