Description: Brooklyn Intensified Coffee Porter starts as a big, chocolatey ale, ready to take on super powers. The first power is gained from months of aging in Kentucky bourbon barrels. The second arises from delectable beans harvested by our pals at Finca El Manzano Single Origin Coffee in El Salvador. The final power comes from Blue Bottle Coffee, who roast the coffee to perfection. Brace yourself for complex notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, berries, and dried fruit, coming to intensify you.

Big disappointment. The coffee really only comes out in the finish and there it’s not bad. There’s a little coffee in their Roma plus some roast and dark malt. Flavor is mostly just neutral sweet and a lot of it. Thankfully there is some carbonation to help cut through that sweetness. It’s okay beerr but nothing special.

Bottle. Wine Rack, Leeds. Clear, dark cola brown. Barely a head. Nose has chocolate and vanilla oak. Fudgy malts. Some booze. Light, fruity coffee grinds. More oak. Smells great. Taste is sweet, woody oak. Some fruity tanginess. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a bit too much fizz. Drinks way under the ABV, mind. Finishes oaky sweet, with a vinous, coffee bitter tang. Smells beautiful, and overall it’s a super tasty beer, albeit a little thin.
