Description: Brooklyn Intensified Coffee Porter starts as a big, chocolatey ale, ready to take on super powers. The first power is gained from months of aging in Kentucky bourbon barrels. The second arises from delectable beans harvested by our pals at Finca El Manzano Single Origin Coffee in El Salvador. The final power comes from Blue Bottle Coffee, who roast the coffee to perfection. Brace yourself for complex notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, berries, and dried fruit, coming to intensify you.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Deep coppery brown, close to black, colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. When pouring the aroma is really strong coffee, with almost a chilispice burn to it. When in the glass it mellows down a bit, getting some ripe banana sweetness, roasted malts, coffee and chocolate along with a sting of alcohol. Flavour is chocolate, vanilla, some red berries and mild alcohol to it. Also the mild ripe bananaish notes come through in the aftertaste. Interesting. Big and bold.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bod The color is black with a small beige head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, ash, coffee, vanilla, some alcohol, caramel sauce, sweet licorice and some chocolate truffles. More liquor in the flavor along with oak, roasted malt, coffee and ash. Silky mouth feel, full-bodied, and a light to medium bitterness. A complex and solid porter with lots of liquor and roasted malt.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Dark brown, small beige head. Unsurprising aroma of rich espresso and bourbon. Mid dry with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Actually surprisingly slender spritzy, vinous and oaky with black pepper, vanilla and coffee. Really elegant. Delicious.

Flaske 750ml delt med EgilB. Høyt mokkafarget tett skum. Heftig lakrisaroma med innslag av sjokolade. Smaken behagelig søt. Sjokolade. Kaffe. En aner fatlagringa som en fin komponent i smaken. Minner mest om rom - men labelen påstår bourbon. Fin balanse. Alkoholen godt skjult. Kanskje litt lite variasjon på smaken - men bevares: Toppøl.

750 bottle split 3 ways. Deep brown in color, no head. Aroma has a decent lingering coffee bean, chocolate and charred Crème Brule.

Taste is coffee forward with lasting espresso throughout the sip. Milk chocolate and notes of vanilla in the center. Nice mellow bourbon in the finish. Body is normal for the style with just a light warming from alcohol with the flavor of alcohol totally hidden and it drinks big but super smooth. WOW, overall this is really my kind of porter.

Thanks AirForceHops for sharing this bottle.Dark brown, nearly black, looks light considering the ABV. a very small head. That’s a lot of coffee. There’s a ton of coffee. Dark chocolate abounds and a touch of vanilla.Creamy vanilla, a bit of licorice, excellent roasty quality. Really creamy mouthfeel. Bright coffee, liquor, oak barrel, vanilla and a bit coconut. Really drinkable. I like the lingering chocolate finish.
