Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt, consumed at home Saturday 27th March 2021 we have Prawn Taquitos with Spicy Avocado Salsa and Smokey Stuffed Peppers listening to a couple of tracks off of the new forthcoming Squid album - Bright Green Field. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Soft mouthfeel, some sweetness, wheaty, some banana, a little minty edge, this is hoppy but not overly so. Ok

Amber with little white head. Aroma is cheese, minimal grapes, some phenols, lots of weizen yeast. Taste is green weizenbock, some phenols in the finish. Medium drinkable, a bit metallic. Phenolic but ok Weizenbock.

Euro-Flasche (vom Otto-Versand): Hazy, more ruby-amber than golden, slowly collapsing mid-sized off-white head;moderate sweet-bitter malty-toasty-wheaty nose, molecular traces of bananas included, shy noble hops in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour with a mild acidity, medium bodied, fizzy and not very soft; lingering sweet-bitter toasty and wheaty finish, "american" hops in the aftertaste. A well drinkable "hoppy" Weizenbock...

Spritzig hopfiger Antrunk, dabei aber eher dumpf und wenig fruchtig. Geringe Würzigkeit, wenig IPAish, okay. 10/8/9/8/10/8

(bottle, 7.0% abv) Cloudy, murky golden colour with a medium-sized off-white frothy head. Yeasty, wheaty and mildly cara-malty aroma with notes of banana, phenolic spices, as well as flowery and mildly fruity hops, including hints of apricot and lemon. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a mildly prickly carbonation. Yeasty, wheaty and phenolic spicy start with shades of caramel, banana and a slightly fruity hoppy touch with notes of apricot and tangerine; medium-dry, moderately sweet malty and slightly hop bitter finish Rather a Weizenbock than an IPA, nevertheless likeable. 16.VI.17
