Bügelverschlußflasche: Almost clear, deep golden, stable off-White head; bready (oxydized?) and a bit bisquity nose, some herbal hops detectable; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and soft; slightly lingering drier bitter and bisquity-bready finish.Odd Aroma, but all in all a well drinkable Heller Bock...

(swing top bottle, purchased at the Brauereigaststätte) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Bready and mildly juicy malty aroma with notes of caramel, a musty touch and shades of herbal hops in the background. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly toasted malty base with hints of caramel, biscuits and a touch of candied fruits, accompanied by a vaguely herbal hoppy touch; sweet and slightly toasted malty finish with fruity and shy herbal accents. A classical half-dark (= heller) Franconian Bock, just a tad too sweet for my liking. 22.IX.14

Flasche aus dem Landbierparadies, Nürnberg. - Helles Goldbraun, klar, sahniger Schaum.
