Bottle from a friend. Lovely rauchmalt aroma with notes of smoked meat, camp fire. Mild sweetish and bitter. Medium body. Beautiful Rauchbier.

1l swing-top-bottle, thanks a lot, pivnizub! Hazy brown with a tall, creamy off-white to beige head. Smoky nose. Medium- to full-bodied malty base, robust and slightly grainy, hints of roasetd malts, good smoky hints and a woody, pleasantly hoppy finish. Smooth palate, slightly lively. Delicious and well balanced.

Danke an Rolf. Mild rauchiger Geruch. Eher trocken rauchiger Antrunk, dem eine etwas stärkere Süße gut getan hätte. Im Mittelteil etwas stärker rauchig, erhöhte Karbonisierung. Trocken herb, geringe aber erkennbare Hopfigkeit. 10/9/10/9/11/9

Bottle. Dark amber, some floaters, big golden lace. Sweet fruits BBQ grilled, smoke wood. Soft creamy mouthfeel, medium body. Franconian smoke, good fruitiness to counter, nice hop backstop. Really nice.

Clear amber with little white head. Aroma is butter pretzel, grapefruit, citrus, fruchtgummi. Taste is sweet fruity malt (fresh orange), only some faint salty ham, average bitterness. A bit ash on the tongue, apart from that nice finish of the same. Not bad for a smoked.

(swing top bottle, 100cl) Hazy, amber to copper colour with a firm medium-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet smoke-malty aroma with present fruity notes of strawberries and fruit gums. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Present smokey malt-character with fruity spots and herbal hoppy spice giving the right balance; lingering smoke-malty, spicy hoppy and moderately fruity finish. Quite a strange brew by Schumacher standards, nevertheless very likeable. 28.IV.17

Bottle (10dl): Copper coloured, medium-sized and persistent creamy off-white head; quite solid woodfire-like smokey nose, some fruity bubblegum notes in the background, subdued hops as well; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty soft; becomes slightly hoppier in the bitter-sweet and fruity finish. Strange brew, technically perfectly brewed, but I prefer smoked Lagers from Franconia...
