A hoppy citrus aroma radiates from this pale amber Barley Wine Ale. Its sturdy malt backbone is balanced with clean bitterness. Finishes pleasantly without overpowering.

Bottle @ Casa de Greg, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a hazy bright orange appearance with a white head. Lemon, tangerine, cookie, bready, lightly toasty, slightly juicy aroma. Light veggie, chewy malty, lemon, bready flavor that finishes a bit boozy. Not a big fan.

Bouteille 66cl via Ibrew2or3. BB 03/07/2014.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small off-white / beige head. Aroma brings out tropical fruits, especially papaya and mango, oranges, and some hops. Flavour brings out loads of tropical fruits (mango, pineapple and papaya), oranges, resinous hops, and some caramel. Extremely fruity, medium hoppy and medium caramely. Well-balanced, with low-to-medium complexity for a barley wine. A very fruity barley wine. Good stuff.
