Bottle, 2016. Pours mostly clear golden orange, small white head, hint of lacing. Aroma is buggy, oak, lemon, gueuze, faint hint of rotting wood. Flavor is medium tart, medium funk. Merlin body, low carbonation. Still interesting, but j don't think it has improved with age.

(On tap @ CBC 2016 Yellow Session, Copenhagen) Pours clear pale gold with a big white head of fine bubbles that lasts well and leaves lace. Aroma is softly cheesy funk, biscuit malt nose reminiscent of scones, a bit of white wine, touches of gooseberry, pale tart berry notes, some oak as expected, a hint of buttery oaked white wine character but not too much. Palate is quite tart verging on bracingly sour, a lot of lactic citrus notes, underripe pit fruit, sour gooseberry, white wine that’s been lightly oxidized, quite smoothly and lightly oaked. A bit of drying in the finish, a touch of fruit peel, malt reminiscent of baked goods but no grain. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Pretty nice, quite balanced, nothing flashy about it.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. This one has a near clear almost whisky golden colored body, on top a small and sidesticking just off-white top. Quite tart and some old berries on the nose. A distinct sweetness also detected here. Cacti-caramel? Don't know, and a little bit of alcohol. Quite nice. It's quite refreshing in the taste, mild wood tart. It has a nice oily texture in the mouth and it's just about average on the carbonation. Some white currants sourness and tartness. Soft dry finish and aftertaste. Nice one! 13.05.2016

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear gold with a light, white foam head. The nose holds tangy citrus, lemon, peach and tangerine. Light sweet flavour with good acidity, more tangerine, subtle rindy bitterness, more peach. Light bodied with average carbonation. Tart finish with more assertive acidity, more citrus and peach. Good one.
