Keg at the brewery, 29/01/16. Almost clear golden orange with a decent off White covering. Nose is pissy lemon, tangy fruit esters, vanilla tinged wood, bitter orange, damp flannel. Taste comprises citric zing, pissoi, sharp lemon intake, wood must, barnyard, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, puckering dry finale. Ok.

Draught at EBF, 2/5/16.
Had this and Cosmic Dust, but this was much more memorable, so rating this one.
Very light, moderately hazy golden-blonde body is topped by a thin white head with low retention.
Tons of citrus, lactic acid and wood in the nose shows a pretty standard, full-on sour American wild ale. Light vanilla, biscuits and a touch of nectarine-pineapple on the finish with some vibrant brett tones. The heavy lactic character wins out, though and the citrus and wood tannin seem quite hard, as well.
In the flavor it’s surprisingly soft, tannic and tightly carbonated in texture, with high attenuation, tons of sourness, citrus and lactic character. Light tropical fruit, some fun brett interactions and no heavy oak or acetic qualities. Solid American sour.

Draft Extreme Beer Fest 2016. Light in color yellow with some lasting head. Aroma is bold oak tannins, lactic acid, light lemons. Light grain.

Flavor is mostly oak, acidic lemons and barnyard notes. Even after a small sample I didn’t want more of it. Lots of tannic oak. Pretty much everything I don’t like in a sour ale. It just really isn’t my kind of beer.
