Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, hoppy, earthy. Taste is hoppy,. Creamy mouthfeel with medium soft carbonation. Solid.

Bottle shared in Rome-Italy with Mortlach, courtesy of daniele. Grazie Dan. Coffee bean pour, very dark. Frothy and persistent ivory foamy head, drafts on the glass. Nose: resin, a bit tropical, the roast is there although quite soft. Mouth: bitter really, chicory, the finish is dry but not clean. Tasty

12oz bottle pours a murky, deep brown with some foamy, tan head. Nose has toast and dried citrus peel, soap, yeast. Mild though. Flavor has pine, orange, soap, yeast, toast, bread crust, brown sugar, quite a bit of herb. Full bodied but dry too.

From cask. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is bitter, grapefruity and light toasted malty. Lingering solid hoppy finish.

On tap at BQ - Birra artigianale di Qualitŕ (via Losanna), Milano. Pours dark brown with tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, hops. Dry bitter finish. Good one.

Dark brown color, almost black, with large compact beige head. Light aroma of roasted malt, with very light cheese touch. Smooth mouthfeel, quite dry, with strong flavor of roasted malt, black coffee, a bit ashy; strong bitterness.
Good beer, but it needs more dimensions to become great.
