Not unlike like the Cliff Swallows of Goya heralded 7,500-mile migration to San Juan Capistrano, GoneAway IPA journeys through the seminal relevance of the Pacific Northwest’s piney, dank & bitter resins in its return to our taproom and shop. While there’s comfort in seeing the familiar floating green cacti & yellow lightning bolt, it’s not nostalgia tugging at you, it’s your olfactory memory snapping back to that first swig of West Coast IPA claiming dominance in your relationship with beer. Big smell Chinook & Simcoe bolted to iron-clad bitterness is irreplaceable.

Admin Note - This beer was previously known as "Heyoka" and "Senita" but has been changed by the brewery to this current name. All ratings will be housed under this listing.

Can. It pours a clear orange color with a frothy off white head. The aroma is hoppy with lots of melon, honeydew and canteloupe, blueberry and pineapple. Some light, simple caramel sweetness. The flavor has more of the same. Canteloupe and honeydew with a little more pineapple and blueberry than in the aroma. Toasted and lightly caramel sweet malt. Low floral bitterness. Pretty drinkable. A little simple and sweet, but I liked the hop character.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is way hop forward with lots of pineapple and mango. Very fruity and intense. Flavor is equally as fruity with a big orange and tangerine. Not much of a malt presence to get in the way of the hops. This is big and juicy and full of fruity hop flavor.
